Storing your lawn care products? Doing it right makes all the difference in the way they will work. Grass seed and fertiliser can lose their effectiveness if not stored properly, but don’t worry! It's an easy task keeping them in good shape.
This is the golden rule for both your grass seed and fertilisers. Moisture and humidity can cause your grass seed to fail at the time of use, excess moisture will also cause the seeds to rot or develop mould. These products aren’t fond of extremes. Freezing temperatures can damage and prevent grass seeds from growing, and high heat can make your fertiliser less effective. Keeping them in a stable temperature environment is recommended.
Grass seed is a natural product, so it won't last forever. Typically it will stay good for one to two years depending on harvest and how it is stored.
