The best time to sow equine seed is either during mid-spring or early autumn.
The most efficient way to sow grass seed in a paddock is to use a spreader that lets you cover a large area quickly and accurately.
The area you want to overseed should be kept moist, and the ground should be above 7°C. It’s best not to just throw the seed onto the area and hope for the best. We recommend that you use a mix of one part seed to five parts dry sand and then spike this mix into the ground. For more information, read our step-by-step guide to overseeding.
