Our ultimate new lawn feed aids germination and greatly accelerates root development - ensuring your grass seed gets off to the best possible start. It works by adding vital nutrients to the soil, making it perfect as both a pre-seed & a pre-turf fertiliser. The high phosphorus content of our pre-treatment feed (NPK 6-9-6) aids healthy grass roots & shoots. The potassium will help your grass become strong & hardy fighting off any diseases that young seedlings are susceptible to, whilst the nitrogen gives a greener blade growth.
This professional grade pre grass seeders fertiliser is superb at accelerating the growth of any newly sown area. It works by adding vital nutrients to the seed bed to quickly help build a strong root system. Unlike many lower grade versions, this fertiliser comes in a homogeneous granular formulation meaning that all the required elements are contained within each single granule. This promotes a perfect distribution of all the contained nutrients. Pre-seeder fertiliser is a great way of ensuring that your grass seed gets off to the best possible start. It is especially good when used on thin or low nutrient soil. Its high Phosphorus content helps promote and establish a healthy root system. It is also excellent when applied as a lawn tonic throughout the growing season

“This was my first time using the A1 Pre-Seed/Pre-Turf Fertiliser. I renovated four weeks ago my very tired lawn which was looking worse for wear with a lot of areas that were bare, brown and not growing as it should. So once I followed all the normal steps of over seeding which was used in conjunction with the premiership pro seed before I applied the pre-seed fertiliser. I also decided to put fleece over the lawn after this process and gave the lawn a good water everyday if no rain fell. This helps keep the new seeds in the perfect environment to speed up the process and to stop the birds coming onto the lawn, until established enough to remove the fleece which was done after two weeks. I have to say I was blown away by the results as you can see in the attached photo. Thick lush green grass which was giving its first cut at the mowers highest setting and my soil is heavy clay. I have purchased a few other A1 products which I shall also review at a later date. Also a big thank you to Jono at A1 lawn for advising on different products for my lawn type. Very helpful and went out his way to assist me. I would highly recommend this product when over seeding. ”
