Whilst exotic plants may succeed in making gardens look both neat and tidy, little compares to the natural beauty of a garden containing wildflowers. Wildflowers not only look great, but also provide an important ecosystem for birds, bees and insects, which all helps pollinate flowers and plants within your garden.
Wildflowers can be grown almost anywhere in the garden, but they particularly thrive in poor soil and for best results try to seed wildflowers in areas which receive at least 4 hours of sunlight a day. Don’t think you have to have acres and acres to grow wildflowers either, window boxes, pots, raised beds or any unused pieces of garden are the perfect places – just ensure that the area is weed free. Other than that, wildflower areas are generally very low maintenance.
At A1 Lawn, we stock three different varieties of Wildflower Seeds & Mix. All have been specified to provide the ultimate combination of stunning appearance and value. Customers of our wildflower mix include keen home gardeners, beekeepers, estates and as well as national parks and farmers.
